5. Enter the Port Number (default 389).
6. Specify the LDAP server type from the LDAP Server drop down list.
7. If desired, enter the path to the LDAP objects to limit the LDAP search in the Search Directory Root
area. The entry should be in base DN format (for instance, ou=people, dc=xerox, dc=com).
8. For Login Credentials to search entries, choose whether system credentials entered on CentreWare
Internet Services will be used for LDAP queries, or the Credentials of the Remotely Authenticated
User (Credentials entered by the user when logging in at the machine's control panel). For System
Login Name and Password, enter the Login Name and Password (if required) in the boxes provided
for access to the LDAP server.
Note:
Login credentials are not required to supply address information for E-mail.
9. Enter your required number for Maximum Number of Search Results. This is the maximum number
of addresses that will appear which match the search criteria selected by the user.
10. Select Use LDAP Server Time-Out or select Wait and enter a Search Time-Out (5-120 seconds).
11. Select the LDAP Referrals: Enabled check box if you would like the server to refer to additional
LDAP servers, when user information is initially unavailable.
12. If using LDAP Referrals, enter the number of additional servers (1-5) to check for user information
(LDAP Referral Hop Limit).
13. For Perform Query On, select the method that you would like LDAP to use to perform searches.
Mapped Name Field: Will search on the single LDAP field currently mapped to Common Name
on the LDAP User Mappings page
Surname and Given Name Fields: Will combine the sn and givenName fields in LDAP and
search on the combination of both.
14. Click Apply, and enter the Administrator User name and password if prompted.
15. To enable encryption (SSL) for LDAP communications, perform the following.
a. Open your Web browser and enter the IP address of the printer in the address field. Press Enter
to open CentreWare Internet Services.
b. Click the Properties tab.
c. Enter the system administrator User Name and Password (default admin, 1111) if prompted.
d. Click the Security folder.
e. Click SSL/TLS Settings.
f.
Check the Enabled check box next to LDAP – SSL / TLS Communication.
g. Click Apply and enter the Administrator User name and password if prompted.
h. Reboot the printer.
