7 Troubleshooting

The product has been subjected to thorough quality control in the factory. However, if a
fault should occur, you may be able to resolve it yourself.
Error symptom

switch on (pilot light

Possible cause
Power plug fits poorly.
No power.
Bacterial filter is blocked
or not completely dry.
Contact element has
short-circuited.
Secretion canister is full.
Heavy foaming.
When using the trolley,
contact strip may be
dirty.
Use of disposable canis-
ter system
Contact fault between
the secretion canister
and the device.
Bacterial filter is blocked. Replace the bacterial filter.
Hose connection to the
pump is kinked.
Too much foaming; foam
bubbles are closing off
the contact between the
sensor and the double
hose connector.
The connection to the
trolley has been inter-
rupted.
Use of the trolley (REF
320.0070.0)
The wrong vacuum unit
was set.
The brightness of the
display is not correct.
Remedy
Check the power plug.
Check the power supply on the
mains side (building fuse).
Replace bacterial filter.
Remove metal connection on contact
(possibly also on trolley rail!). Also
check the connections for trolley
fixation on the bottom of the device.
Empty secretion canister.
Use anti-foaming device.
Clean contact strip.
The warning message 'Secretion
canister full' is deactivated when dis-
posable canister systems are in use.
Use reusable secretion canisters.
Check whether the secretion canister
and its secretion canister lid have
locked into the holder correctly and
whether the ATMOS S 351 NATAL has
been screwed correctly to the trolley.
Attach hose in such a way that it
does not kink.
Place anti-foaming device on fill-level
sensor (REF 444.0064.0).
Check the contacts between the
trolley and the ATMOS S 351 NATAL.
When the trolley is in use, the mes-
sage "Connected with trolley" is not
possible.
Set the desired vacuum unit as
described in chapter „4.7.2 Vacuum
unit" on page 22.
Set the desired brightness of the
display as described in chapter „4.7.4
Brightness" on page 24.
