10.0 Troubleshooting

Description
Device cannot be
switched on.
Battery does not
recharge; charging
symbol does not light up
even though power cable
is plugged in.
'Vacuum too low'
'Secretion canister full or
hose blocked'
'Vacuum too high'
'Battery low'
Possible causes
Battery is completely empty.
Fuses are defective.
Power cable defective or not
connected properly.
Recharging unit, charging
electronics, or battery are
internally defective.
Leakage
Secretion canister full.
Hose blocked or kinked.
Bacterial and viral filter
blocked on the measuring
hose or in the secretion
canister.
Liquid sucked into pump.
Excessively high vacuum
applied from the outside.
Ventilation valve is defective. Contact ATMOS Service or a certified
Battery almost empty.
Measures
Connect the power cable and
thereby charge the battery. Observe
the display of battery status.
Check the building and device fuses.
Check the power cable.
Contact ATMOS Service or a certified
service partner. The device must be
checked.
Check all connections for leaks.
Connection of the hose system to
the patient catheter, connection of
the hose system to the secretion
canister/device, and connection of
the secretion canister.
Exchange secretion canister.
See chapter '3.3.2.6 Changing the
secretion canister' on page 27.
Remove any blockages; if necessary,
remove the measuring and rinsing
hose from the connection to the
secretion canister. If the bacterial
filter in the measuring and rinsing
hose is blocked, replace the hose
system.
Check the hose system for kinks and
remove kinks if necessary.
Check the bacterial and viral filter
on the measuring hose and in the
secretion canister. If the bacterial
and viral filter on the measuring
hose is blocked, replace the hose
system. If the bacterial and viral
filter in the secretion canister is
blocked, change the secretion
canister.
Contact ATMOS Service or a certified
service partner.
The device must be checked.
Check for correct hose connections.

the state of charge is indicated in the
