8 Troubleshooting

The product has been subjected to a thorough quality control in the factory. If a fault
should occur despite this care, you may be able to resolve it yourself.
Error symptom
Device does not
start
Insufficient flow
No suction capacity

Possible cause
• Power plug fits poorly
• No mains voltage
• Defective fuse
• Leakage in the
suction hose lines
or in the secretion
canister lid
• Hydrophobic DDS
bacterial and viral
filter is blocked. (vac-
uum gauge indicates
vacuum)
• Secretion or blood
was sucked in and
the valve plates of
the aggregate are
stuck together.
Remedy
• Check connection at wall socket
• Check main fuse
• Exchange the fuse
• Check the secretion canister lid
and hose lines for secure fit.
• Change the hydrophobic DDS
bacterial and viral filter and
possibly check the fluid level
in the DDS secretion canister;
empty the secretion canister if
necessary.
 In this case, the device must be
sent in for repair.
