NCM350 Setup
60 IFC Networking—Metasys Intelligent Fire Network
The Secondary Reporting configuration utilizes the standard Fire
download configuration and setup. See the Network Control Module 300
Series Technical Bulletin (LIT-6360251) in the Metasys Network
Technical Manual (FAN 636) for more information on the NC setup
procedures.
Use the following steps to configure the NCM350 for use with the
FN circuit MIB card in using Windows NCSETUP.
1. In Metasys.INI, go to the [WNCSETUP] section and look for a line
starting as Debug=. Change this line to
if this line is not found.
2. Start Windows NCSETUP and establish normal communications with
the NCM.
3. After communication has been established with the NCM, enter the
following to change the NOVRAM menu:
Select Command menu:
Modify Slot 1 data:
Slot 1 IO:
Slot 1 Base Memory:
Modify Slot 2 data:
Slot 2 IO:
Slot 2 Base Memory:
Return to main menu:
4. Verify the changes by again selecting the Command menu. Select and
click on ISA Slot mapping. If the data matches this input, the NCM
slot mapping changes have been saved. Select cancel to close the
window. The Metasys.INI [WNCSETUP] section Debug line can now
be restored to the original value if desired.
5. Select the Command menu and click on the NOVRAM menu. Set the
Code Download Type, Archive Device Address, etc. Set the
Download Type = Fire
6. Do code and Data Download to download selected code when done
with NCSETUP.
