FN Stats is a Windows 95 and 98 program that can be used to verify that
Fire-Net NCMs and Fire OWSs are functioning properly on the FN. Use
the program for the Primary configuration when:
• you first install the FN to commission the system
• the FN has poor response time or unusual behavior
• there are a large number of error messages in the PC or NC error log
The FN Stats program collects statistics from the Fire OWS and Fire-Net
NCM network nodes on the FN. The data is stored in the various network
nodes, not the FN Stats program.
Before using the FN Stats program to diagnose the FN, make sure all
network nodes are online and that the statistic counters are clear. To use
the FN Stats program:
1. Exit from the Metasys system to the Program Manager, keeping the
Metasys system running.
2. At a Fire OWS, open the Metasys Program group.
3. Double click on the FN Stats icon (Figure 21). The FN Statistics
Program window appears (Figure 22).
