Plastic infrared body marker spheres
To ensure appropriate patient safety and positioning accuracy, Brainlab recommends
attaching between five and eight infrared body markers. To enable infrared tracking,
a minimum of four infrared body markers is required.
Do not attach marker sockets to damaged or broken skin.
Only Brainlab Infrared Markers should be used for monitoring. If the hospital decides
to use 3rd party Infrared Markers, the hospital is responsible for commissioning and
quality assurance of this new device combination.
Accuracy may be reduced if one or more marker spheres are not visible to the infrared
camera. Verify that the surface of all marker spheres is dry and in good condition prior
to use. Damaged marker spheres should be replaced.
Ensure that infrared body markers are securely attached and not obscured by other
equipment.
