Troubleshooting the Isolation Transformer

Type of Error
The
BUILDING POWER
in-
dicators on the system
control panel and trans-
former control panel are
not illuminated.
The
in-
BUILDING POWER
dicators in the transformer
control panel or system
control panel are on, but
pressing the
SYSTEM ON
button does not power up
the system.
Once the
SYSTEM ON
but-
ton in the system control
panel has been pressed, it
lights up automatically,
however, no output power
is present.
As a result, the system on
indicator in the transformer
control panel does not light
up.
Partial or total failure of the
power output, even if the
green
BUILDING
indicators are illu-
POWER
minated.
Should the isolation transformer malfunction, only qualified personnel should be per-
mitted to perform troubleshooting.
Possible Cause
No mains power present at
the input line.
Due to overload, the mains
input fuse switch on the
transformer control panel
has tripped.
Internal isolation
transformer failure.
The
EMERGENCY STOP
switch is active (pushed
in).
Due to overload, the inter-
nal thermal fuse in the iso-
l a t i o n t r a n s f o r m e r h a s
tripped.
The earth leakage current
breaker has tripped, indi-
cating leakage current ex-
ceeding 30 mA.
Due to overload on one or
more output lines, one or
more circuit fuse switches
have tripped.

Procedure
Check the mains power supply in
building fuse panel.
Check the mains input fuse switch
in the transformer control panel.
Should the fault persist, call Brain-
lab support.
Call Brainlab support.
Release the
EMERGENCY STOP
switch by pulling it out.
Call Brainlab support.
Reset the earth leakage current
breaker.
Should the fault persist, call Brain-
lab support.
Reset the circuit fuse switches.
Should the fault persist, call Brain-
lab support.
