used by the electronic weighing system can be seen in DR30 (always expressed in DR30 in the
weight unit).
6.18.4

Coarse weight [coarseWeight]

Relevant with dosing in three dosing steps (extra coarse, coarse and fine). In the case of classic
coarse or fine dosing, the coarse weight remains at 0 (default setting). As soon as a value is
specified, the shut-off points are calculated for the three dosing phases. Depending on the
selected unit reference, the value must be interpreted as a percentage of the set point (DR20)
or as an absolute weight value.
6.18.5

Trailing weight coarse [trailingWeightCoarse]

The parameter defines how much material still flows onto the scale after the coarse signal is
shut off. Depending on the selected unit reference (DR23), the value must be interpreted as a
percentage of the set point (DR20) or as an absolute weight value.
When dosing in DTI mode only takes place via coarse flow or via coarse flow with activated fine
flow, the set weight of the single filling - coarse trailing weight represents the shut-off point of
the coarse or fine flow.
In all other weighing operating modes, the parameter can be used as limit for the fine signal time
controller. If the controller adjusts a fine weight that is less than the set coarse trailing weight,
control is suspended, and the electronic weighing system issues a corresponding technology
message.
6.18.6

Trailing weight extra coarse [trailingWeightXCoarse]

Defines how much material still flows onto the scale after the extra coarse signal is shut off.
Depending on the selected unit reference (DR23), the value must be interpreted as a
percentage of the set point (DR20) or as an absolute weight value.
6.18.7

Blocking time extra coarse (s) [blockingTimeXCoarse]

Defines a timer that begins at the start of three-stage dosing (with extra coarse, coarse and fine
phase). While the timer is active, the electronic weighing system does not perform a check to
determine whether the extra coarse shut-off point has been reached. At the start of dosing, the
"coarse" and "fine" dosing signals are usually set simultaneously. The material may strike the
scale hard, producing an overshoot that is higher than the extra coarse shut-off point, which
would cause the extra coarse signal to be shut off too early. To prevent this premature shut-off,
the "Blocking time extra coarse" can be defined in seconds.
