Recording with audio equipment:
After the procedure a long Start tone is audible and can be played back over the
audio equipment connected to the music input of the PBX. The recording can be
monitored via the handset.
The following applies to both recording possibilities:
• To end the recording, hang up; on system terminals press the
recording is then stored automatically.
• The recording time is limited by the length of time defined in AIMS for this re-
corded announcement. Once this time has expired, the recording stops auto-
matically and the audio data is stored.
With the PC:
Announcements can also be recorded with a PC through a connected microphone
(e. g. with the Windows Audio Recorder). The recordings have to be stored as wave
files in a particular format under a predefined name.
• Format: CCITT A-Law, 8 kHz, 8 bit, mono
• File names: court_xx.wav (lower case required)
"xx" can take on the values 10...19 (Group 1) or 20...29 (Group 2).
The wave files with the announcement texts must be loaded onto the PBX system
file:

We recommend that you check the texts by monitoring them using the corre-

Wave files that are longer than the time available for the corresponding recorded
announcement cannot be loaded and generate a corresponding error message.
Wave files with incorrect format cannot be played.
