2.1 Characteristics
The Regesta-PRO-ER router family is a range of IP routers particularly suited for hostile and extreme environments.
Thanks to its ruggedized mechanics and special characteristics, allowing it to bear extreme temperatures, this router
is particularly suited for: industrial environments, industrial telecontrol, distribution installations for electricity, gas, wa-
ter, etc.
The main characteristic of this router family lies in the possibility of accessing WirelessWAN (WWAN) and ADSL/AD-
SL2+ data networks.
Thanks to its modular design, this device can quickly adapt to the latest WWAN technologies. The Regesta-PRO-ER
family is compatible with wireless technologies such as GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, CDMA 2000 1xRTT,
CDMA Ev-Do, etc.
As for the LAN networks, this device incorporates a 6 port 10/100 BaseT LAN Ethernet Switch. The basic license en-
ables the first 2 ports. By upgrading the basic license you can enable all 6 ports.
There are several Regesta-PRO-ER models, depending on their type of access technology, their serial port equip-
ment and their power supply:
