The following Layer 2 (RFC 2544) throughputs are typical for a 32 Mbps link
configuration:

The use of IFG and Preamble stripping and re-insertion across the link ensure there
is no appreciable throughput drop-off for smaller frame sizes.
Modes of Operation
Two operational modes are supported, Transparent and VLAN. These define the
connection fabric between the switch ports and channels.
Transparent Mode
This is the default, broadcast mode. It supports two customer connections, P1 and P2,
with bridging between and to the transport channel C1.
