Introduction to Eclipse Edge

Eclipse Edge is an extension of the Eclipse family of fixed-link, split-mount, digital
microwave radio products for the 5 to 23 GHz licensed frequency bands.
Edge is specifically suited to edge-of-network applications, with cost-effective and
energy efficient last-mile backhaul solutions for capacities to 32 Mbit/s or 16xE1.
Key Edge features include:
• Software programmable capacity assignment between native Ethernet and PDH.
• Capacities from 4 to 32 Mbit/s, or from 2x to 16xE1.
• Hybrid mixed-mode operation, with assignment between Ethernet and E1 traffic in
2 Mbit/s steps.
• Built-in intelligent layer 2 switch with QoS options.
• Operation in 7, 13, 15, 18, 23 GHz licensed frequency bands.
• Standard Power RF performance.
