MX10003 Installation Overview

To install the router:
1. Prepare your installation site.
See "MX10003 Site Preparation Checklist" on page
2. Review the safety guidelines and warnings:

3. Unpack the router and verify the parts:
a. See "Unpacking the MX10003 Router" on page
b. See "Verifying the MX10003 Router Parts Received" on page
4. (Optional) Remove components from the MX10003 router chassis before Installing it in a rack.
See individual topics listed in Removing, Installing, and Upgrading Components for removing components.
5. Install the router onto the rack.

6. (Optional; Required only if you have removed the components from the router in step 4) Reinstall
components in the MX10003 router after installing the chassis in a rack.

7. Connect cables to the network and external devices.

8. Connect the grounding cable.
