Isolating and De-isolating Zones

Overview
This section describes isolating and de-isolating zones. Isolating a zone does not prevent any of
the points within the zone from going into the alarm state, but does prevent the activation of any
outputs that are programmed to operate when the zone is in alarm.
Pressing a zone's ISOLATE key toggles its Isolate status. If the zone is not isolated, pressing the
key isolates the zone. Likewise, if the zone is isolated, pressing the key de-isolates the zone.
Note:

Isolating a Zone

A zone is isolated by pressing the appropriate Isolate key on the Zone Display Module. Zone
Displays are located below the operator interface. Each Zone Display Module has eight zones:
1.
2.
De-Isolating a Zone
Zones are de-isolated by pressing the appropriate Zone Isolate key on the Zone Display Module:
1.
Warning: If the zone's Alarm LED is on, do not de-isolate the zone unless you are sure that you
want to create an alarm.
If the ALARM TEST LED or the FAULT TEST LED is on, then pressing the ZONE
ISOLATE key will not isolate/de-isolate the zone, but activate the alarm or fault test.
