When installing the cover bolts,
push down the cover and tighten
the bolts evenly.
Pour in the specified quantity of
engine oil from filler (F).
Bleed the air from the piston
pump.
For details of bleeding the air,
refer to BLEEDING
CIRCUIT (bleeding
piston pump).

Never start the engine before
the air has been completely
bled from the piston pump. If
the engine is started without
the air being bled from the
piston pump, the piston pump
may be broken.
Bleed the air of hydraulic circuit,
refer to BLEEDING AIR FROM
HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT. Then
lower the bucket horizontally to
the ground and stop the engine.
Check the oil level and ensure
that is correct. (Refer to EVERY
100 HOURS SERVICE.)
The type of lubricant
used
depends on the ambient tem-
perature. Select according to
the table
"FUEL, COOLANT
AND LUBRICANTS".
Refill capacity: 550 II
Check that there is no oil leaking
from the filter cover mount.
