4. With the 8mm Hex Key, secure the
jointer to the cabinet with the M10‐1.5
x 20 cap screws, flat washers and lock
washers.
Note:
Reach through the dust vent for access to the
forward mounting hole as in (Fig. D)

Installing the V‐Belt
1. With the 13mm wrench, loosen but DO
NOT remove the motor mount bolts
2. Lift the motor upward far enough to
allow the V‐belt to be placed around
the cutterhead pulley and the motor
pulley (Fig. E)

3. Carefully allow the motor to slide
downward, tensioning the V‐belt with
the weight of the motor.
4. Looking from the top, sight down the
V‐belt and pulleys and check that the
pulleys are parallel and aligned with
each other. (Fig. F )
If the pulleys are aligned,
retighten the motor mount
bolts and proceed to step 7
If the pulleys are NOT aligned,
proceed to steps 5 & 6.
5. Remove the V‐belt, loosen the set
screws in the motor pulley and then
align the motor pulley with the
cutterhead pulley. If needed the motor
can be loosened and moved backward
and forward slightly to bring the
pulleys into alignment.
6. Tighten the set screws and replace the
V‐belt. Repeat step 4 to check the
pulley alignment, they should be
perfectly aligned (Fig. F). Now replace
the access cover on the cabinet.
