If the status light inside the carousel cover is red or blinking red instead of green, do not open the carousel door.
Red status light - A red status light means that the carousel is moving or that the racks are not in load position
`
(for example, the scanner may be loading a slide in or out of a rack). Wait until the status light turns green before
opening the carousel.
Try using the Console to tell the scanner to move a rack into load position by selecting the rack position on the
Console display and clicking the Eject button for that rack in the display.
If the light does not turn green, contact Leica Biosystems Technical Services for assistance.
Blinking red status light - A blinking red status light means that an AutoLoader error occurred. One common
`
error is that someone opened the carousel door while the carousel was moving—in this case, use the Console to
rehome the stage. If this does not correct the error, contact Leica Biosystems Technical Services for assistance.

Slide on Stage

If you see a "slide on stage" error message, it means that the scanner tried to load a slide from the AutoLoader but a slide is
already on the stage.
In most cases, this is the result of an operator leaving a slide on the stage after performing a manual scan, performing a
presnap, or setting the camera gains. If you are sure that the slide was left on the stage by an operator, you can simply click
the Eject Stage button on the Console window to move the stage to the access position and you can remove the slide.
Rarely, a slide can be left on the stage by the AutoLoader because of a sticky label or adhesive on the edge of the slide. In
this case, follow these instructions:
1.
Open the front and side access doors of the scanner and check the status of the slide.
2.
If the slide appears to be secure on the stage, click the Eject Stage button in the Console and remove the slide.
