AutoLoader Specifications

The AutoLoader can contain up to 400
commonly available glass microscope slides. The dimensions of a slide must be such that each slide fits easily into an
AutoLoader rack slot and can be securely loaded onto and unloaded from the stage by the AutoLoader.
Please ensure that your slides meet these specifications prior to use of the AutoLoader:

Successful scans require well prepared slides. See "Slide Preparation Tips" on page 14 for slide preparation guidelines.
If you have any questions about the suitability of your glass slides, please consult a Leica Biosystems Technical Services
representative. For instructions on using the AutoLoader, see "Chapter 6: Using the AutoLoader" on page 35.
1. Slide dimensions are approximate, and are affected by the presence of excessive mounting media, overhanging coverslips, and label thickness.
In all cases, it is up to the user to load slides which fit easily and smoothly into the AutoLoader rack. Failure to follow this advice may result in
damage to specimens and/or the AutoLoader mechanism.
