3. Flip the plastic slide-in-rack sensor amplifier cover
up to uncover the amplifier. As you stand in front of
the scanner opening, the amplifier cover latch is at
the top of the amplifier. Pull it toward you to open
the cover. In this illustration, the cover is open.
Be very careful not to press any buttons on the amplifier other than the Set button. PRESSING
OTHER BUTTONS ON THE AMPLIFIER COULD PUT THE SCANNER INTO A STATE THAT CAN ONLY BE
REMEDIED BY A SERVICE TECHNICIAN VISIT.
4. Locate the Set button on the amplifier (marked in
the illustration). The button is labeled "Set."
