Step 9 Connect the cables.
The cable connection positions of the new interface module must be identical to those of the
original interface module. Otherwise, service operation will be affected.
Step 10 Wait about two minutes and check the status of the Power indicator on the interface module to
determine whether the interface module is successfully installed.

NOTE
In the case of a SmartIO or IB interface module, it is recommended that the cables be connected four
minutes after the module installation to prevent any impact on the status update of the interface module.
If the indicator is steady green, the interface module is successfully installed.
If the indicator is steady red or off, the newly installed interface module is faulty, the
interface module slot is faulty, or the interface module is incorrectly installed.
