1. Overview and sub−bases for CPX I/O modules

Fit the modules as follows (see Fig. 1/8):

Please observe the instructions on combining and

arranging modules on the CPX terminal in the CPX
system manual.
Please note
With a combination of sub−bases and manifold sub−bases
with metal on plastic or plastic on metal, always use the
appropriate screws for the manifold sub−base
(see section B.3 Accessories"):
with plastic manifold sub−bases:
thread−cutting screws
with metal manifold sub−bases:
screws with metric thread.
Only in cases where the electronic module has been
removed:
Place the electronic module in the manifold sub−base.

Make sure that the grooves with the contact terminals on
the bottom of the electronic module lie above the contact
rails. Then push the electronic module carefully and
without tilting as far as possible into the manifold
sub−base.
