2.4.1

Session Setup

The communication starts with the setup of a session (Session Setup). To this purpose the
vehicle sends a SessionSetupReq message to the charge column. This message contains
the EVCCID (EV Charge Controller ID). This consists of the MAC address of the vehicle. The
charge column confirms that a session has been set up by sending a SessionSetupRes
message. This includes among other things the unique identifier of the charge column
(EVSEID).
