If no explicit activation is required (e.g. free charging), the parameter can remain
permanently set to "2".
Note
This input is only evaluated during the authentication phase. As soon as the state "1" or "2"
is applied, the system changes to the next charging phase. Subsequent changing of this
state does not have any effect.

"Parameter Discovery" phase

In this phase the following data is delivered by the vehicle and displayed at the output
(out.ev.limits) of the DIN_70121 function block.
● maxCurrentInAmpere: The maximum charging current permitted by the vehicle (in A)
● maxPowerInkW: The maximum charging power permitted by the vehicle (in kW)
● maxVoltageInVolt: The maximum charging voltage permitted by the vehicle (in V).
The following data is sent by the charging station to the vehicle via the function block inputs
(in.evseCfg):
● minVoltageInVolt: The minimum charging voltage (in V) of the charging station.
● maxVoltageInVolt: The maximum charging voltage (in V) of the charging station.
● minCurrentInAmpere: The minimum charging current (in A) of the charging station.
● maxCurrentInAmpere: The maximum charging current (in A) of the charging station.
● peakCurrentRippleInAmpere: Maximal current ripple (in A) on the charging current
● maxPowerInkW: Maximum available power (in kW) of the charging station
● supportedEnergyTransferType: Energy transfer version supported by the vehicle
(according to DIN SPEC 70121 only "DC_Core" and "DC_Extended" are permitted)
The Shunt breaker is closed (in as far as the function is activated).
After completion of the parameter discovery phase, the vehicle ID is available at the output
of the DIN_70121 function block.
● evccId: Vehicle ID (max. 8 characters)
(HEX characters in ASCII representation; for example 0xF ⇒ "F")
● evccIdLength: Length of the vehicle ID
The frequency converter is started in this phase because, according to the standard, a
maximum of 40 seconds is available for the cable check. This means that the charging
process has to be aborted after 40 seconds if the "Cable Check" has not been terminated by
then.
The hwState output parameter now signals with the value "3" that the frequency converter
has to be started.
