T-branch module DC1135 (T-tap)
Fire & Security Products
Siemens Building Technologies Group
Use
Single T-branch module for single stub line
Multiple T-branch module for two to four stub lines
Procedure for localizing a new line
1. Switch over from the physical structure to the localization structure
Õ Function Loc. Õ Commissioning
2. The beginning (221: DC1135s or 223: DC1135m) and the end (224: T-T END) of
each stub line have the same localization index and remain identified in the physical
structure with the prefix * (no counterpart in the logical structure').
DC1135 a stub line Õ see diagram page 51
DC1135 two to four stub lines Õ see diagram page 52
Manually transfer the D-Bus addresses for the stub beginning and corresponding
stub end from the localization structure to the physical structure
3. Using the commissioning list, link all devices with the corresponding elements in the
logical structure.
Õ Function Structure Õ Link
4. With AnalogPlus devices the D-Bus addresses correspond with the order of installa-
tion. So that the representation in the physical structure corresponds with the order of
installation, rearrange the physical structure.
Õ Function Loc. Õ Set CSX = Bus addr.
Procedure for localizing an existing line (devices already commissioned)
. Note: only insert one additional T-branch module at a time
1. Physical structure: The CSX numbers must correspond with the D-Bus addresses
and the CSX numbers of the newly defined devices must be set to 0.
Õ Function Loc. Õ Set CSX = Bus addr.
2. Localization structure: find and make a note of the lowest and highest D-Bus ad-
dresses of the T-branch module.
3. Physical structure: find the device with the D-Bus address identical to the lower of the
addresses from step 3. Increment this D-Bus address until it is one higher than the
higher D-Bus address found in step 3.
Õ Function Special Õ Increment CSX
4. Physical structure: set the D-Bus addresses according to the CSX numbers.
Õ Function Loc. Õ Set bus addr. = CSX
5. Using the commissioning list, link all new devices with the corresponding elements in
the logical structure.
Õ Function Structure Õ Link
6. Manually enter D-Bus addresses DC1135s or DC1135m and T-T END. (copy from
location structure)
7. Rearrange the CSX numbers according to the D-Bus addresses.
Õ Function Loc. Õ Set CSX = Bus addr.
DC1135 with one stub line
(remove zero ohm resistance on the circuit unit)
A single T-branch module occupies two D-Bus addresses. The first address is occupied
by the start of the stub line (DC1135s). The first detector on the stub line occupies the
