Cleaning the optical sensors

Cleaning the optical
sensors
Rewinder RW500
•
Clean the machine at least once per week.
•
The dust layer must never exceed 1 mm (0.039 in.).
•
Never clean the machine using compressed air. (bearing damage)
•
Heavy contamination can impair the functioning of the machine.
•
The optical sensors on the machine become dirty during production
due to paper dust and printing powder.
•
They should therefore be cleaned after each job (daily).
The following optical sensors are integrated in the rewinder
• <Dancer position> weight force dancer sensor
• <Webguide> sensors
Proceed as follows to clean the optical sensors.
These prerequisites must be fulfilled:
• Main switch is switched off and secured.
• EMERGENCY STOP palm button is pressed.
Here's how to clean the optical sensors:
Clean the optical elements of the sensors or reflectors with a dry, lint-
free cloth.
The optical sensors are cleaned.
