Checking protective devices

WARNING!
Rotating machine parts during operational maintenance.
Non-observance could result in serious injury or death.
Maintenance work must be carried out by one trained and authorized
person only.
•
Turn the main switch to the position <0>.
•
Use a padlock to secure the main switch from unintentionally switch-
ing on again.
•
Heed the local occupational safety regulations.
•
Make absolutely sure that before the machine is switched back on,
all persons are in the secured area.

Incorrectly set safety switch.
Non-observance could result in serious injury or death.
•
Make sure that the specifications for the respective gap are adhered
to.
•
If a gap is too large, it must be re-adjusted by MBO Service or autho-
rized customer service.
•
Never dismantle, bridge or bypass safety switches.
•
All protective devices for shutting down the machine in an emergency
must be checked individually and separately from each other.
•
If any protective devices malfunction, shut down the machine imme-
diately and secure it against being switched on again.
