8.3 Repair

8.3.1 Tightening the crawler tracks

If the crawler tracks have slack in excess of 1.5 cm, they
must be tightened so they will not come off. Proceed as fol­
lows:
1) Loosen the counter nut (open-end wrench, size 13) (see
Fig. 25, item 1).
2) Turn the Allen head screw (Allen key, size 6) clockwise
until the crawler track tension is sufficient (see Fig. 26,
item 1).
3) Firmly retighten the counter nut (open-end wrench,
size 13).
→ The crawler track is now tightened and secured.

8.3.2 Replacing the battery

The battery pack may only be replaced as a set. Only use
original Ottobock accessories.

8.3.3 Replacing the Crawler Tracks

In order to ensure sufficient traction, the crawler tracks must
be replaced if the profile depth falls below 3 mm. Regard­
less of wear, the crawler tracks should be replaced every 2
years.
The crawler tracks may only be replaced by authorised per­
sonnel.
