► After configuration/programming is complete, the user
must test the driving characteristics of the product
under the supervision of the qualified personnel.
If necessary, the authorised personnel can adapt the pre­
programmed control unit and accessories to the concrete
requirements of the user.
7 Usage
7.1 Combining the Wheelchair and
ScoutCrawler
CAUTION
Driving on the ramps
Risk of falling, tipping over
► Lean your upper body forward when driving on the
ramps.
Prior to use, the manual wheelchair must be firmly secured
on the outdoor vehicle. Proceed as follows:
1) Park the outdoor vehicle on a flat surface.
2) Turn off the control unit of the outdoor vehicle.
3) Lower the loading ramps of the outdoor vehicle using
the pull cables. Engage the hooks of the pull cables in
the transport cases.

4) Drive the manual wheelchair over the loading ramps
onto the platform of the outdoor vehicle.
NOTICE! All four wheels of the wheelchair must
stand firmly on the platform.
5) Move the wheelchair to the stops and engage the knee
lever wheel lock.
6) Pass the carabiners on the two lateral belt straps over
the tyre stops and around the push rings (see Fig. 6,
item 1) and engage them in the eyelets (see Fig. 7,
item 1 and item 2).
7) Hand-tighten the lateral belt straps (see Fig. 8).
8) Pass the centre belt strap around the frame in front of
the caster wheel and engage it in the eyelet (see Fig. 9,
item 1 and item 2).
9) Hand-tighten the belt strap (see Fig. 10).
10) Fold up the loading ramps with the help of the pull
cables. Pass the pull cables around the armrest sup­
ports and engage the pull cables on the push ring hold­
ers (see Fig. 12, item 1).
→ The outdoor vehicle is ready for operation.
