2.11 Digital Quantity Control Interface

The rear panel of IT6412 power supply has a DB9 digital quantity control
interface (SYSTEM I/O), which can be used for controlling and monitoring
power supply output. Pins of SYSTEM I/O interface at the rear panel are
defined as follows:
.
Hardware over-voltage protection: when the over-voltage protection is
disabled, the maximum input voltage of the power supply is limited to about
120% of the present voltage range. If the hardware over-voltage protection
is triggered, the output will be immediately switched off and the LCD
display will show
product, please avoid that the external voltage loaded on the output
terminal is over 120% of the rated voltage.
Clear OVP: When the power supply occurs OVP, firstly cut off the DUT.
Select "Menu > System > Sys Conf" on the interface to enter the System
Menu interface. Select System Protection Clear by the Up/Down Key and
press the [Ok] soft key to clear OVP. If the power is under remote state,
firstly clear the protection state (by sending OUTPut: PROTection: CLEar
command) before switching on output through the OUTPut ON.
Over current protection: the maximum output current of the power supply
will be limited to the present current set value (Iset). If OCP is triggered, the
OC position in the state register will be configured; and if the OCP is
released, the OC position in the state register will be reset.
Clear OCP: When the power supply occurs OCP, firstly cut off the DUT.
Over temperature protection: when the internal power device is over
90°C, the over temperature protection occurs. At this time, the power
supply will be automatically OFF and the LCD will display
same time, the OT and PS positions in the state register will also be
configured and kept till reset.
Clear OTP: When the power supply temperature is lowered to the
protection point, select "Menu > System > Sys Conf" on the interface to
enter the System Menu interface. Select System Protection Clear by the
Up/Down Key and press the [Ok] soft key to clear OVP. If the power is
under remote state, firstly clear the protection state (by sending OUTPut:
PROTection: CLEar command) before switching on output through the
