The procedures in this manual refer to the connector
that has 70 pins. Table 11 shows the conversion from
engine models that have a connector with 70 pins to
engine models that have a connector with 31 pins.

Harness Wire Identification
Perkins identifies all wires with eleven solid colors.
The circuit number is stamped on the wire at a 25 mm
(1 inch) spacing. Table 12 lists the wire colors and
the color codes.

Color Code Color
BK Black
BR Brown
RD Red
OR Orange
YL Yellow
For example, a wire identification of F702-GN on the
schematic would signify a green wire with the circuit
number F702. F702-GN identifies the power supply
for the 8 V throttle sensor.
Note: Always replace a harness wire with the same
gauge of wire and with the same color code.
