Note: The RS-422 cable is delicate. Use your fingernails to work the cable loose before it is
unplugged.
d. Remove the drive brick from the sled.

Removing the drive cover

Procedure
1. Ground yourself to the drive by using an ESD Kit.
2. Remove the cover of the full height drive by completing these steps:
a. With a Phillips screwdriver, remove the three screws and washers (see 1 in Figure 198) that
secure the bezel 2 to the internal drive, then remove the bezel.
b. Remove the cover of the internal drive by completing these steps:
1) Remove the four cover-mounting screws and washers 3 .
2) Remove the cover by lifting it up.

3. Remove the cover of the half height drive by completing these steps:
a. To remove the drive bezel, pull the right side of the bezel ( 1 ) from the front of the drive, then
pull the left side of the bezel out of the frame of the drive.
b. Remove the cover of the internal drive by completing these steps:
1) Remove the four cover-mounting screws ( 2 ). Two screws are on each side of the drive.
2) Remove the cover by lifting it up.
