Patient ID
Interprets all alphanumeric characters from present index until first
non-alphanumeric character encountered as the Patient ID.
First Name
Interprets all alphanumeric characters from present index until first
non-alphanumeric character encountered as the patient's first
name.
Last Name
Interprets all alphanumeric characters from present index until first
non-alphanumeric character encountered as the patient's last
name.
Middle Initial
Interprets all alphanumeric characters from present index until first
non-alphanumeric character encountered as the patient's middle
initial.
Date of Birth in US Format (month/day/year)
Interprets the next 10 characters from the present index as the
patient's date of birth. The valid separator characters are '/' and '\'.
Date of Birth in International Format (month/day/year)
Interprets the next 10 characters from the present index as the
patient's date of birth. The valid separator characters are '/' and '\'.
Admission Date in US Format (month/day/year)
Interprets the next 10 characters from the present index as the
patient's date of birth. The valid separator characters are '/' and '\'.
Admission Date in International Format (month/day/year)
Interprets the next 10 characters from the present index as the
patient's date of birth. The valid separator characters are '/' and '\'.
Patient Gender
Interprets one character at the present index as the patient's
gender. Valid gender specifiers are:
'M' or 'm': Male
'F' or 'f': Female
Any other character: Not Entered
Instructs the parser the character at the current index should be a
comma (',') and should be ignored
Instructs the parser to begin at the current index and skip all space
characters until the next alphanumeric character is encountered.
Instructs the parser to being at the current index and skip all non-
alphanumeric characters until the first alphanumeric character is
encountered.
