5.2.2 Power and Initialize System

Turn on the Sensica™ UO System for ICU by pressing the rocker switch on the top of the display
housing.
The touch screen display will illuminate and the software will initialize. An initialization screen will
appear during this process for a few seconds, and then the New Patient/Settings screen will appear
automatically.
Note: Once the system is turned on, a red battery icon will appear on the status bar if the battery is
below 5%. For proper touch screen operation, wait until the battery icon goes away to use the
system.

5.2.3 New Patient and Settings Selections

This screen provides operator access to setting up a new patient and administrator access to
system settings. For initial setup by the administrator, see Part IV.
