5.1 Initial Device Inspection Procedure

CAUTION: Do not use Sensica™ UO Collection Bag Ring if product appears broken.
Upon receipt of the Sensica™ UO System for ICU, ensure that the contents of the shipment are
complete and inspect the shipping container and contents for damage.
•
If the shipment is incomplete, contact Adaptec Customer Service.
•
If the Sensica™ UO System for ICU shipment container or contents are damaged, notify the
carrier and Adaptec Customer Service. DO NOT USE the system until Adaptec personnel or
authorized representatives have verified that the system is fully functional. Keep the
shipping materials for the carrier's inspection.
•
If the Sensica™ UO Collection Bag Ring, single patient use product appears broken, DO
NOT USE the ring and contact Adaptec Customer Service.
5.2 Sensica™UO System Setup Procedure
5.2.1 Plug System into Wall Supply – Charge Battery
When first using the Sensica™ UO System, the internal back-up battery may require charging. Plug
the system into a medical grade wall supply using the power cord provided, and allow 20-minutes to
charge battery. To avoid battery drainage, make sure to turn the system off between patient
monitoring systems.
