Note: The band should be permanently attached to the drainage tubing using the provided
peel-off glue backing. To remove the bag for patient transport, turning the patient or any other
reason, simply pull the tubing out of the tube holder and lift the bag off the ring. To resume UO
monitoring, hang the bag back on the ring, align the tube band with the tube holder window, and re-
insert the tubing into the tube holder on the side of the system that is closest to the patient's head.

6.3.2.1 How to attach the tube band to the drainage tubing

Place the urine bag and drainage tubing on a stable platform, such as the patient's bed, for
attaching the tube band. Align bottom edge of the measuring strip with bag guide. Place full length
along tubing to measure correct distance for placing tube band. Remove tube band backing and
wrap around tubing. Discard strip. (Note: It is not necessary to drain the initial urine output
before hanging the bag on the ring.)

2. Hang bag on ring.
3. Align tube band with holder
window and insert tubing
segment fully into channel.
