Overview
The neoVI device can generate a clock (figure 1) on the
program m able between 1.25 Khz and 2.5 Mhz (See table 1 for frequencies).
The neoVI devices tim estam ps the ex act start tim e of the pulses. This start tim estam p provides a m ark er to com pare data from the DAQ board and the neoVI.
How to use it
The following list of steps shows how to use this feature:
Step 1 : W ire the MISC 2 signal to the DAQ card ex ternal clock input
Step 2 : Setup the
MISC 2 Signal as a digital output
Step 3 : Start Monitoring the network
Step 4 : Start the DAQ Card Data Acquisition for an ex ternal clock with the desired num ber of sam ples
Step 5 : Send the
Start DAQ neoVI Device Virtual Network Com m and
Step 6 : Record network m essages from the neoVI until the DAQ card has acquired the proper num ber of sam ples
Step 7 : After the DAQ Card com pletes its scan, assem ble the DAQ card data and neoVI m essage buffer in to one buffer using the start tim estam p. Analyze, display or store your results.
Step 8 : Send the
