The ISO 9141 and Keyword 2000 protocols use a check sum field to protect the data that is transm itted. neoVI allows you to disable the autom atic addition of this check sum to transm itted m essages and the check ing of it on
the reception of m essages. This m aybe useful for a UART protocol that doesn't use the check sum or calculates it differently. A parity setting is also available if your network requires this.
