UA RT Timing - neoVI
Main
A pplies to
neoVI Blue, neoVI Red, neoVI FIRE, and neoVI
The UART network supports software program m able tim ing param eters. These include the baud rate and tim e delim iters as described in the ISO 9141/Keyword 2000 specs.
First, you can setup a baud rate. Intrepid Hardware Ex plorer provides you with m any com m on UART speeds present in Vehicle Network s to choose from .
In norm al UART operations tim ing delim iters specify how m essaging tak es place. These settings are shown in Figure 2 below. The settings are ex plained in table 1 below.

Rx Inner Fram e Spacing
Tx Inner Fram e Spacing
Tx Inter byte Spacing
The Message Termination section allows you to choose how frames are spaced. Select Inner Frame Time for ISO9141 or Keyword 2000 networks. For GME CIM-SCL networks select GME CIM-SCL.

Description
neoVI determ ines when a m essage ends using this param eter. If no data byte has been
received within this period the end of m essage is signaled.
This is the delay the transm itter will wait between two m essage transm issions.
This is the delay that neoVI uses between each transm it byte.
