Erasure of CD-RW recording

Recording in a recordable (i.e. non-finalized or unfinalized) CD-RW can be erased as described below.
There are two methods of erasure.
÷ Erasing only the last recorded track in a CD-RW
÷ Erasing all tracks in a CD-RW
Once erased, the tracks and data cannot be restored
to the condition before erasure.
Select the "CDR" input. Be sure to put the CD recorder in stop mode.
Erasing the last recorded track
Example: To erase the last track (15th track) in a disc
containing 15 tracks
1 Place a recordable CD-RW disc.
2 Press the ERASE key repeatedly until "Erase 15 ?"
is displayed.
3 Press the SET key.
4 Press the ENTER key to start erasure.
To repeat erasure
Repeat steps 2 to 4.
÷ In step 2, select "Erase XX". Here, "XX" is the track
number of the last track in the disc.

÷ Ensure that the disc has no scratch or dirt on the surface.
÷ The "CD-RW" indicator should light. If the "FINALIZED CD-
RW" indicator lights, the disc is a finalized disc.

÷ To abort unfinalization, press the ERASE key or 7 STOP key.

÷ The time until the completion of erasure is displayed.
÷ Do not perform any other operation during erasure.
÷ "Complete" is displayed when erasure completes.
Never unplug the power cord during erasure.
If the power supply is interrupted by a power failure
or unplugging the power cord during erasure, the
data may be destroyed and become unplayable.
