The source connected to the DIGITAL
IN OPTICAL jack cannot be recorded
onto tape. To record an external
source on tape, connect the source
component's output to the AUX IN
jacks and select the "AUX" input
source.

Pause the recording (Main unit only)

÷ Press the TAPE REC key during recording. It stops after
leaving a non-recorded blank of 4 seconds. (Press the key
again to resume recording.)

4. Select the source to be recorded.

start when a disc already has been inserted. Press
the 7 STOP key to stop it.
5. Make the preparations for recording.

The input level can be varied only when the "AUX" (auxiliary analog source)
input is selected. Adjust the input level from the auxiliary source as required
if it is too small or too large. (AUX Input, Rec Gain)
6. Start recording.
1 When the preparation is complete, press the TAPE REC key.
(this starts actual recording)
2 Play (or tune) the music source to be recorded.
÷ If you want to also record the input on a CD-R/RW at the same time, press the CD-
R REC key in step 1, wait until the blinking rate of the CD-R REC indicator slows
down, then press the CD-R REC key again.
