Changing the recording input setting

The input setting for recording on the CD recorder can be changed according to the input source as required.
(The input setting cannot be changed for recording from "D-AUX".)

After selecting the input to the input source to be recorded, start setting from the appropriate step as described
below.
When recording from "CD" (Press the CD6 key) ................................................................... Go to step 1
When recording from "TAPE" (Press the TAPE23 key) ........................................................... Go to step 2
When recording from "TUNER" (Press the TUNER/BAND key) .............................................. Go to step 2
When recording from "AUX" (Press the AUX/D-AUX key repeatedly until "AUX" is displayed.) .... Go to step 2
÷ When CD 6 or TAPE 23 is pressed and the disc or tape has already been loaded, playback will start immediately. To prevent this,
press the 7 (stop) key immediately after pressing CD 6 or TAPE 23.

Selecting digital-to-digital or analog-to-digital recording (Rec Input)
(Applicable only for recording from CD player)
1 Press the MENU key.

2 Press a MULTI CONTROL keys to select "Rec Input
?" and press the SET key.

3 Press a MULTI CONTROL keys to select "Dig."
(digital-to-digital recording) or "Ana." (analog-to-
digital recording) and press the SET key.

When "Dig." is selected, the setting is complete.
When "Ana." is selected, go to step 2-3

÷ Digital-to-digital recording from CD may sometimes be pro-
hibited by the SCMS (A). In this case, select "Ana.".

÷ The "DIGITAL" indicator lights when "Dig." is selected.
The "DIGITAL" indicator does not light when "Ana." is
selected.
÷ During digital-to-digital recording, the track number is
incremented automatically by "1" according to digital data, so
the blank is not detected. Note that, if the track number
changes during fast forward or backward operation, the CD
recorder may not be able to change the recorded track
number correctly. Also, when the player CD is stopped, a no-
sound track may sometimes be created.
