Switching the time display during recording
1 Press the DISPLAY key to switch the display to the
information on the recorder side.
Playback side (CD player, etc.)

Recorder side (Cassette deck)
(Displayed only in simultaneous
twin recording)
÷ The display can also be switched with the DISPLAY key on
the remote.
Adjusting the input level from the auxiliary analog source (AUX Input, Rec Gain)
If the audio output level of the auxiliary analog source such as a cassette deck is too low or too high, recording
at the optimum level may not be available.
In this case, perform the following adjustment before recording.
Adjusting the input level from the auxiliary analog source (AUX Input)
Adjust so that the audio from the auxiliary analog source sounds at the identical level to the audio from the internal source
such as the CD.
1 Press the AUX/D-AUX key repeatedly until "AUX"
is displayed.
2 Press the MENU key.
3 Press the MULTI CONTROL keys to select "AUX
Input ?", then press the SET key.
4 Press a MULTI CONTROL keys to adjust the record-
ing level (between -5 and +2).
5 Press the SET key to set the selection.
÷ If the input level from the auxiliary analog source is still too
low or the recorded audio level is too low even after the
input level is maximized (to +2) by this adjustment, perform
the recording input level adjustment operation (Rec Gain)
described below.
Adjusting the recording level of the input from the auxiliary analog source (Rec Gain)
1 Press the AUX/D-AUX key repeatedly until "AUX"
is displayed.
2 Press the MENU key.
3 Press the MULTI CONTROL keys to select "Rec
Gain ?", then press the SET key.
4 Press a MULTI CONTROL keys to select "High".
5 Press the SET key to set the selection.
÷ When this is set to "High", the sound may sometimes be
distorted due to too high recording level.
2 Press the TIME key to switch the time display
contents.
