[Up to 2 numeric characters]
Determines the length of the delay, in seconds, from powering on the
wireless/Ethernet device to initiating communications when sending
records to an EMR.
To determine the appropriate setting, refer to the instructions
provided with your wireless device.
[Up to 2 numeric characters]
Determines the length of the delay, in seconds, prior to retrying a
network connection when sending records to an EMR. To determine
the appropriate setting, refer to the instructions provided with your
wireless device. (To mitigate network communication problems, you
may set this to a higher value to ensure adequate time to establish
communications.)
[Up to 2 numeric characters]
Retries
Determines the number of times the system will retry when sending
records to an EMR. To determine the appropriate setting, refer to the
instructions provided with your wireless device.
ON
OFF
Set to ON for short startup time. When ON, the wireless/Ethernet
device remains on when the Eclipse Premier is powered on. Set to
OFF to maximize battery life. When OFF, the wireless/Ethernet
device remains off and is powered on only during record transfer.
NOTE: When using a barcode scanner in addition to the
Ethernet/wireless hardware device, note that the device turns off
each time you scan a barcode. For best results, change the
Ethernet/Wireless Always Connected setting to OFF, or be sure to
wait for the device to establish communications after scanning a
barcode and before using the send function.
Password
ON
OFF
Determines whether a password is required to access the USER
SETUP menus and the SYSTEM SETUP menu. The password is set
in the MISCELLANEOUS menu (see "Password" on pg. 4-14).
NOTE: If the password is set to OFF in SYSTEM SETUP, the
password field will not appear in the MISCELLANEOUS menu.
