Care and cleaning
10.1
Cleaning of quartz- and
glass components
Contact with live parts of a unit connec-
ted to the mains may involve electrical
shock.
Switch the unit off when carrying out care
and cleaning work and pull mains plug
(secure against replugging)!
Suprax outer cylinder and window glass filter:
To be cleaned in a 20% citric acid solution.
IR filter and UV filter glass:
To be cleaned with a duster, because filters are
sensitive to moisture.
XENOCHROME filters:
To be cleaned with commercially available alcohol
or spirit.
Finger marks on the filter surface should
be avoided or carefully removed with a
soft cloth.
The XENOSENSIV filters are sensitive to
scratching.
10.2
Cleaning the test chamber
To be cleaned with a liquid cleaning agent which
does not contain any chlorine compounds. Rinse
the surfaces with ultra purified water to avoid

For cleaning empty the water tank and remove the
tank from the system, to prevent pollution of the
pipe system and test chamber.
10.4
Filter pad:
Clean every 6 months in luke-warm water to which
a small amount of fine detergent was added, and
rinse in clear water.
Where more severe contamination occurs, the pad
can be beaten, vacuumed or blown through using
a gentle jet of compressed air.
When inserting the filter make sure that the "soft
side" faces outwards and that the edges seal
tightly.
Exchange:
After having cleaned it twice (filter class EU 4).
