Operation
-
If the discharge resistor check flag has
been set and the resistor test was
negative.
-
If a fuse has blown. The fuses are
checked by comparing the voltage level
of the intermediate circuitry (U
against the voltage levels of the output
lines (ULine1 and ULine2).
-
If the 24 V and/or 5 V CAN supply
voltages are lost.

7.3.5 State "Power Down"

This state discharges the internal capacitor battery. The
intermediate circuitry is detached from the input power
supply and the discharge resistor is used to discharge the
capacitors.
Transitions:
Into state 'Voltage Disabled' if the capacitors are
discharged and the intermediate circuitry voltage
(U
) drops below the hazardous level.
ZK
Into state 'Fault Charged' if the capacitors can't
be discharged within the typical time limit.

7.3.6 State "Fault Charged"

This is the powered fault state. The intermediate circuitry is
detached from the input power supply. The capacitors
must be discharged in order to leave this state. Use the
discharge resistor to discharge the capacitors.
Transitions:
Into state 'Fault Discharged' if the capacitors are
discharged and the intermediate circuitry voltage
(U
) drops below the hazardous level.
ZK

7.3.7 State "Operation Enabled"

This is the nominal powered state. The intermediate
circuitry is connected directly to the input power supply
and no resistor is enabled. Fault transitions are initiated if
the input voltage (U
) is outside its maximum limits but
DC
no fault action is taken on the intermediate circuitry
voltage (U
). If U
rises above or falls below the defined
ZK
ZK
thresholds, the event is signalled through transitions into
the sub-states 'Over Voltage' and 'Under Voltage'.

7.3.8 State "Over Voltage"

This is a sub-state of state 'Operation Enabled'. Apart from
the transitions into states 'Over Voltage' and 'Under
Voltage', all transitions of the base state are inherited. In
this state the chopper resistor is enabled to reduce the
energy in the connection box by heating externally. The
state is signaled by the blinking of the U

7.3.9 State "Under Voltage"

This is a sub-state of state 'Operation Enabled'. Apart from
the transitions into states 'Over Voltage' and 'Under
Voltage', all transitions of the base state are inherited.

Into state 'Power Down' following a 'Switch Off'
transition user request or in case of an NMT reset
(reset node or reset communication) command.
Into state 'Fault Charged':
-
If the intermediate circuitry voltage (U
drops more than 20 V below the
defined minimum power up voltage.
-
If the input voltage drops below or
exceeds the absolute limits.
-
In case of a blown fuse. The fuses are
checked by comparing the voltage level
of the intermediate circuitry (U
against the voltage levels of the output
lines (ULine1 and ULine2).
-
If the 24 V and/or 5 V CAN supply
voltages are lost.
Into state 'Over Voltage' if the intermediate
circuitry voltage (U
) rises above the specified
ZK
maximum.
Into state 'Under Voltage' if the intermediate
circuitry voltage (U
) falls below the specified
ZK
minimum.
Into state 'Operation Enabled' if the intermediate
circuitry voltage (U
) is back in nominal U
ZK
range.
