Dismantling The Cylinder - Malaguti MALBO Line Service Manual

When one valve is removed, always replace the
relevant valve stem seals.
- Using a specific tool, install a new valve stem seal.
- Reassemble valves, springs (7) and 2 valve stem
halves (6) in the upper valve cup.
When reassembled, thoroughly grease the rocker
arm shafts, cams and contact points between the
rocker arm and valve to avoid jamming when the
engine is started (use Molykote type grease).
Valve stem seals must be lubricated.

DISMANTLING THE CYLINDER

- Remove the cylinder (1).
- Remove the base cylinder gasket (2) and 2 pins (3).
- Remove the timing chain sliding shoe (5) screw (4).
- Slide out the timing chain sliding shoe.
