DISMANTLING THE HEAD

- Remove the spark plug.
- Manually rotate the engine shaft in the operating direc-
tion to correctly align the rocker arm with the cam (A).
- Loosen the 2 screws (1).
- Gradually loosen the four head nuts (2) in crossed order.
- Remove the 4 nuts, washers and 2 screws.
- Remove the valve rocker arm bracket (3).
- Remove the timing chain (4).
- Slide out the cam shaft (5).
- Remove the head, the head gasket (6) and 2 pins (7).
- Remove the timing chain sliding shoe (8) (located in the
cylinder on the exhaust side).
