The following product-specific terms and abbreviations are
used in this manual:
Meaning
Data bus via which the CPX modules communicate with each other and
are supplied with the necessary operating voltage.
Collective term for the various modules which can be integrated in a CPX
terminal.
Modular electric terminal type 50
Dual-in-line switches consist of several logic elements with which settings
can be made.
Create the connection to certain networks or fieldbuses, conduct control
signals to the connected modules and monitor their functioning.
Handheld terminal (handheld, CPX-MMI) for CPX modules for
commissioning and service purposes (Man-Machine Interface, MMI).
Digital input
Collective term for the CPX modules which provide digital inputs and
outputs (CPX input modules and CPX output modules).
