2.2.1 Parameterisation concepts

Handheld Parameterisation is
carried out via
menu-guided entries
with the handheld.

You can parameterise a CPX terminal with the bus node CPX-
FB20/21 with the help of the handheld device (see following
table).
The handheld is required for all parameterisation methods.
Advantages
– Very user-friendly
parameterisation via
menu-guidance
(plain text).
Further instructions on the procedure for parameterisation
can be found in the sections which follow.
Disadvantages
– Parameterisation is
saved locally in the
CPX terminal and is
lost if the CPX terminal
is replaced.
– Access via remote
maintenance is not
possible.
